He didn't want to you see because he was a computer junkee. His dad said give it a week, just try and if you don't like it you don't have to do it. Well 1 month later DRUMLINE is his life. He is the ONLY FRESHMAN to make the drumline. 40 people tried out and only 12 made it on the line. He has turned into Mr. Social, I have a different event every night between band, activities with the drum gang, etc. It is a lot of hard work. They practice every day for 2 hours, then he has sectionals 3 days a week for 5 hours each day. That is 29 hours a week of practice, then add on the games. The school took the band to Prescott, AZ for 4 days last week to practice 12 hours a day while they were there. This band program has won national events so they will be going to competition soon. What a great opportunity for him and he is working HARD!!! Is anyone??? He was a little bummed for a couple of days prior to his birthday. He came home from work and was sent to his room to relax. The kids tickled his back, brought him Pepsi and Twinkies and told him he had to stay upstairs. In the meantime we blew up balloons, made signs, and got the food ready for guests for his surprise party. We had his favorite, STEAK, potatoes, fruit, Pepsi, and angel food cake. We thought he knew what we were doing, but he said he didn't. Dad, Grandpa and Grandma B were at the head of the table to celebrate what a great contribution our mom has made to all of us!!! We ate at Mom's favorite restaurant (Pagoda) and enjoyed the evening going around the table reminissing about special moments we all remembered about Mom.
